NEW ACTORS STUDIO организира три дневен интензивен курс:
с ГОСТ-ПРЕПОДАВАТЕЛ: Mary Workman
- един от най-авторитетните преподаватели по съвременни американски техники в актьорската подготовка, преподаваща в American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York Film Academy, New York University Professional Studies Program, Actors Studio, т.н.
Работила е с театралните титани Йежи Гротовски и Роберт Коен.
Номинирана многократно за авторитетните бродуейтски награди Bay Area Theater Critics Awards.
Day 1: Sept 2nd, 2011 (13:30 – 18:00)
1. Techniques for fully inhabiting your character („becoming“ rather than „acting“)
a. Practical analysis of circumstances and relationships
b. Internal monologue and subtext
c. Physical approaches to determining personality
2. Improvisation: creating character and circumstances through specific choices in your acting
3. Scene assignments
Day 2: Sept 3rd, 2011 (13:30 – 18:00)
1. The power of observation and „raising the stakes“
2. Understanding the difference between film and stage acting
3. Scene analysis and individual interviews
4. Working the scenes
Day 3: Sept 4th, 2011 (13:30 – 18:00)
1. Improvisation exercises for dexterity, creativity and confidence
2. Guided scene work
3. Final scene presentations
4. Improvisation celebration
The course will be held in English language.

About Mary Workman
Mary Workman began her career as a television actress and voice-over artist in Los Angeles working with such memorable personalities as James Whitmore and Pearl Bailey. She earned her BA from Pomona College and her MFA from the University of California, Irvine (full-fellowship award) where she studied with Robert Cohen, Jerzy Grotowski, Dudley Knight and Carla Meyer.
She has performed extensively in regional theatre and in national tours and has been recognized with several Bay Area Theatre Critics Awards. In New York she has performed leading roles at BAM and Off-Broadway. She has taught for over 20 years in classrooms ranging from the University of California to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and New York Film Academy in New York. Her students are performing on Broadway and in major motion pictures. She is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainer’s Association, SAG, AFTRA and AEA.
